Spirit Surprise

Your fingers tremble...
Is it pleasure or surprise?
Caught up in the shadow
of this Jack-o-lantern moonrise!

Hiding in the doorway,
a frightened waif wails;
Her silhouette dances
like a Spirit ship's death sail!

Dry leaves reverberate
like old skeleton bones;
While each gust of wind
sends a Spirit back to its stone!

Follow the shoreline
Follow the sun
Follow the tide
Sail on 'til day is done

Run with the dolphin
Run with the whale
Run with the current
You will always set sail

For the Islands of the Caribbean
For the South China Sea
For the Madagascar Coast
Always returning home to me
