Transmigration

Detach yourself from this world
from those you love
from those you THINK you love
There are those who know you better than you know yourself
Those who care what happens to you
though you do not even know of their existence

Detach
It no longer matters
Your time has come
Release your spirit
Let it soar
so that when you leave
nothing can tie you to the earth
You will be able to fly freely to where you belong
into the arms of those who know you and love you
better than you were ever able to know and love yourself

You were never meant to be earthbound
You have suffered at the hands of others
as well as by the words and actions of your own heart
No one can change the past
you can only lay it to rest
Shed the tears to wash away the footprints on your heart
then walk away
making a new pathway
vowing never to walk
over another heart
never causing another grief
stepping carefully among the lives that try to hold you back
So that when you leave
when you depart
you will not leave sadness or harm or injury to another’s spirit

Detach yourself now
It is not an easy task to release all of your emotions
It is an even more difficult task
to give up the attempt to love
But in the end
you will know it was the right thing to do
The fight to attempt to make love come to you
will cause more harm than giving up the struggle
Some will say you are a quitter
a failure
But you have already known those emotions
have heard those accusations
have been called worse
and you have felt greater pains
Give it all up now

Say Farewell
Each painful teardrop
burns through the ties that bind you
to your old way of thinking and living
When the pain ends
you will be awash in a healing river of your own making
floating freely into the arms of those who want you
know you
and who will never judge you
All of the things you could never find for yourself before
you will now find on this road of knowledge
Blue will no longer mean sadness
It will mean salvation

Your spirit has found the home you were meant to have
Now you will love and be loved
The way it should be
Your heart is free
