Worshipers Of *Tatau

What you see is just the cover,
like the outside of a book;
Each story on the inside
deserves a closer look.

You might see Dragons or Snakes,
twisting and turning through air;
Or maybe Fairies or Angels,
with open wings and faces fair.

A name, a face, a dream,
etched within some rhyme;
Pledging love and loyalty,
with no regard to passing time.

You see my desires and needs,
Engraved upon my skin;
Only take the time to ask,
To learn what lies within.

Lora Frikken ~ 11-13-05

*The word “tattoo” is of Polynesian origin,
related to the Tahitian word tatau and the
Marquesan word ta-tu.
