Old Fashioned Super Mom
(In honor of Mother’s Day)

There she stands...representing, truth, justice,
and the family way!
Let me rephrase that...being in the ‘family way’
started all of this in the first place!

Representing:
Truth, justice, and the family play-by-play?

It’s...Super Mom!

Changing diapers at the speed of light;
Preparing meals that taste just right;
Doing laundry throughout the night;
Finding time for Dad...
Well, three out of four isn't too bad!

Constantly smiling in spite of being beat;
Discovering new ways to make ends meet;
Managing to always have a mealtime treat;
Promising time for Dad...
Say, isn’t this the best pie you’ve ever had?

Playing games and letting everyone else win;
Teaching reading, writing, and how to swim;
Acting out bedtime stories over and over again;
Making time for Dad...
I think this midnight crying might just be a fad!
(The baby’s...not Dad’s!)

Holding tightly to the memory of these days;
Keeping them locked up in the heart always;
Knowing family and love forever outweighs
Missing attention for Dad...
Who admits everyone’s love just makes him glad
to be a Dad!

Dad: Look, honey, plane tickets to Florida! Just you and me!
Mom: *winks* And baby makes three?
Dad: *faints*
